FOR HER (Focused On Resources for her Heath, Education and Research) in conjunction with Research Administration is pleased to announce the recipients of this year’s FOR HER intramural grant awards. The purpose of this intramural grant competition is to foster collaborative research projects with potential for external research funding in the area of women’s health. Two $50,000 awards were made to recipients’ laboratories.
Grants awarded were “Inverse Association Between Alzheimer’s Disease and Cancer: a Mitochondrial Estrogen Receptor beta Paradigm?” to the Shao-Hua Yang laboratory and, “HPV Vaccine Among Primary Care Givers of High Risk Youths” to the Kathryn Cardarelli Laboratory.
